Ingredients

- ¼ cup cinnamon sugar
Streusel Mixture:
- ¾ cup chopped walnuts
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup butter softened
- 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 2 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
Batter:
- 1 cup milk
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ⅔ cup butter, melted
- ¼ cup sour cream
- 1 ½ cups white sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Combine brown sugar, walnuts, softened butter, flour, and cinnamon for streusel mixture in a bowl; mix with a fork until crumbly.
- Combine flour, baking powder, and salt for the batter in a separate bowl. Beat eggs in a third bowl with an electric mixer until foamy; add white sugar and melted butter and beat until creamy. Add milk, sour cream, and vanilla extract and beat until smooth. Stir the flour mixture into the milk-butter mixture until the dough is well blended.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking dish and cover with half of the streusel mixture. Spread the remaining batter over the streusel layer and cover it with the remaining streusel.
- Place the dish on the middle rack in the preheated oven and bake until a fork inserted in the center comes out clean (15 to 20 minutes).
