Ingredients

Ingredients for Cake Batter

  • 1/2 cupNestlé a+ Nourish Milk
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla Essence
  • 3/4 cupNestlé MILKMAID
  • 1 cup + 1 tsp-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking Soda
  • 1/4 cup chopped Almonds

Ingredients for Apple Topping

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon Powder
  • 1 tsp lemon Juice
  • 1 cupChopped Apple
  • 1/4 cupBrown Sugar
  • 1 tbsp chilled Butter

Ingredients for Crumble

  • 1/2 cupPowdered Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon Powder
  • 1/4 tsp chopped Almonds
  • 1/2 cup-Chilled Chopped Butter
  • 1/2 cup-Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 cup oats

Directions

Preparation method for the crumble:

  • Put the chopped butter in a bowl. Add flour, rolled oats, powdered sugar, cinnamon powder, and chopped almonds.
  • Mix everything together with a light hand.
  • Place the mixture in the refrigerator to keep it cool before adding it to the cake.

Preparation method for the apple topping:

  • In a bowl, mix the chopped apples with sugar, cinnamon powder, and lemon juice.
  • Add the butter and mix well.

Preparation method for the cake batter:

  • Sift flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
  • Cream butter, nestlé MILKMAID, and vanilla extract until the mixture is fluffy
  • Add the dry ingredients alternately with the wet ingredients and milk to make a dough.
  • Dust the chopped almonds with 1 teaspoon of flour and fold them into the batter.
  • Pour into a greased and lined rectangular baking dish (10″ x 7″).

How to assemble the cake before baking:

  • Spread the apple mixture over the batter and mix lightly.
  • Top with the streusel mixture.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for 30-35 minutes.
  • Serve warm with vanilla pudding/ice cream/whipped cream, depending on how you like it!
