The Best Chocolate Cake You Ever Ate.
I make this cake over and over again. It’s easy to put together and icing the cake is quick and easy. It goes quickly to my house.
Ingredients:
- ½ cup butter
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ cup milk
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 cups white sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup butter
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups confectioners’ sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Directions:
Step 1:Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Step 2:sift together 2 cups white sugar and 2 cups flour; set aside.
Step 3:In a saucepan, combine 1/2 cup butter or margarine, oil, water, and 1/4 cup cocoa. Bring mixture to a boil, remove from heat and add to dry ingredients.
Step 4:Dissolve baking powder in the buttermilk; add to the cocoa-flour mixture with eggs, salt, cinnamon, and 1 teaspoon vanilla and mix well.
Step 5:Pour batter into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 20 minutes.
Step 6:Prepare to frost: Five minutes before the cake is ready, place 1/2 cup butter, 1/4 cup cocoa, and 1/4 cup milk in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Step 7:Remove from heat and stir in icing sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and chopped pecans. Pour the glaze over the hot cake. The cake will stay moist and can be frozen. Enough for 20 people.
